Instagram Recommendations

Helloooo theeereeeee! I’ll be sharing with you guys some Instagram profiles i recommend checking out if you’re into music, skateboarding, tech and videogames.

Skateboarding

@steven_pineiro

I’m starting this off with pro skater Steven Piñeiro, who is of Puertorican descent. In 2021, he participated in the skateboarding debut in Tokyo 2021 Olympics, ending up in 6th place, 14 spots higher than some of the best skaters in the whole world. Truly an inspiration for young skateboarders that aspire to make it big, especially if you’re Puertorican! His instagram consists of clips of his tricks.

@hallofmeat

Yeouch! One of the most well-known accounts when it comes to skateboarding slams! It shows the more “realistic” side of skating, which is that you’re gonna fall and fail tricks, a lot. Some of the clips can be funny while others will leave you wondering about the well-being of the guys in the clips, but if you can learn something from hall of meat, is that you always be protected, and at least wear a helmet when skating.

@thrashermag

One of the biggest skateboard magazines (are they still even a thing?) The biggest accomplishments for a skater is getting sponsored, since that means they will get freebies like merch, free skateboards (which are actually surprisingly expensive), and you pretty much get paid for skating, that’s what the magazines do. On their Instagram you’ll find the new magazine editions, and skater clips from all around the globe, which can bring exposure to less known skaters.

Music

@_asian_glow

One of the most underrated bands from the last 4 years. Asian Glow was a shoegaze solo act that really brought a new sound to the genre and made really interesting and creative music. Sadly, after releasing the album Unwired Detour in February 4, 2024, they announced that Asian Glow will be no more and as of today hasn’t confirmed if they will keep making music under another name.

@justinguitar

When learning to play an instrument, it’s very important to practice consistently, and it’s especially important to have a tutor when learning fundamentals, so you don’t learn bad habits, that’s why Justin Guitar is a great account to follow if you want to learn the guitar. He has been uploading guitar tutorials for more than a decade on YouTube!

@bernthofficial

Another great guy to learn guitar from, especially if you’re into metal. Bernth teaches a lot of techniques that will help you shred like a madman and really push your skills to the next level. On his Instagram he shares tutorials and even messes around, like the time he filled an acoustic guitar with water to play a song with it.

@elestepariosiberiano

A Spaniard drummer who displays his great skill on his Instagram. Doesn’t matter if you’re a musician or not, the speed and precision El Estepario Siberiano plays at is really amazing, and aspiring drummers can find a great inspiration in his playing. He does drums covers out of almost any song you could think of and with great speed.

Videogames

@rockstargames

One of the most prestigious videogame companies, and with good reason, their games may take half a decade to come out, but they always release in a great state and with plenty of content to entertain someone for hundreds of hours. The post I added is the announcement of the most anticipated videogame in the whole century, the next GTA entry, Grand Theft Auto VI.

Technology

@linustech

Linus Tech Tips (LTT), one of the biggest tech channels in the western hemisphere, they have been making engaging, fun and educative tech content for more than a decade now. LTT is a big reason on my interest in computers, since their content was fun and easy to watch, it made me realize that I want a job in tech and I’ll always be grateful for that. On their Instagram they post a lot of tech related memes.

@womenwhocode

It is undeniable that tech is one of the fastest growing industries, and with an increasing demand of programmers and software engineers, it’s essential to recognize and welcome women in a field that is dominated by men. Womenwhocode’s Instagram seeks to empower women and share resources that helps them in becoming more succesful as programmers.

Well, that was 10 Instagram profiles that you guys could find useful in different ways. Thank you for reading and hope the profiles managed to catch your attention!
